Areas of Work

Discover my multifaceted work at the intersection of environment, peace, and space exploration. Also, check out how I utilize performative arts and Interactive Public Speaking to address social issues and engage diverse audiences.

Environment

My environmental work journey began at around 12 when I started collecting discarded paper and aluminium foil from my school classroom. I would gather these items, along with others, at home and later sell them to recyclers. Growing up in a farming background, my love for trees and nature has always driven me to work for the planet as a responsibility rather than just a job or hobby.

Over the years, I have collaborated with hundreds of organizations in this field. I am actively involved with Tears of the Earth, which I co-founded in 2010 with my two partners. Additionally, I contribute to Earth Day Network, where I manage youth affairs in India, and I volunteer and advise on environmental engagements at the American Center, New Delhi

Peacebuilding

My involvement in peacebuilding began in 2018 when I started volunteering for organizations such as the Global Peace Foundation,  National Youth Project by Dr. S.N Subba Rao, and others. However, my dedication to this cause deepened significantly during the Delhi Riots in 2020. Witnessing the violence and destruction near my home, and seeing my father's efforts to protect our family at all costs, opened my eyes to the urgent need for peacebuilding efforts.

By then, I had gained a basic understanding of peacebuilding. I further contributed by assisting in the Declaration of the Global Peace Leadership Conference, Indo-Pacific, and advocating for peace in several other countries. I have also been involved in interfaith leadership and community-driven peacebuilding. Currently, I moderate the Young Changemakers Dialogue and collaborate with several embassies on initiatives for peacebuilding intersections.

Performative Arts

I strongly believe in the transformative power of performative arts. Music, dance, theatre, and art are integral to every movement, campaign, or commemoration. I have always been passionate about singing, performing, and curating plays.
I am currently the vocalist in the Virah Band, where we create and perform songs focusing on climate justice, environmental conservation, unity, and more. Our performances have taken us to prestigious venues such as C20 events, Banaras Hindu University, BITS Pilani, Palam Airforce Station, Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) Kerala, Pragati Maidan, and many others. I personally have performed at International Events including Territory of Meaning, Moscow.

I have participated in over 20 street plays and have been involved in sloganeering at climate rallies. Additionally, I am a classical music learner, continuously striving to enhance my skills in this art form and creating a community of musicians for Earth and Peace as a BeVisioneers Mercedes Benz fellow.

Space Exploration

I've always been fascinated by science, especially the connection between space exploration and environmental conservation. My interest in this grew after engaging with the iHub at the U.S Embassy in Delhi. Studying Geoinformatics and participating in online space-related activities expanded my knowledge.

I now lead the Future Forward Concept, focusing on space exploration's intersection with peace and the environment. I am the member of OpenSpace International for their polcy and Outreach.

I'm also involved with the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) and have worked with organizations like Space IndiaSDNx, Vyomika Space, and the Russian Center for Science and Culture.

I've met astronauts, cosmonauts, and ISRO scientists, attending numerous space policy conferences in India. My goal is to increase space knowledge and foster a culture of belongingness through Youth initiatives.

People

In recent years, I have engaged with various audiences in diverse ways, particularly in managing youth groups and interacting with larger crowds. This experience has honed my skills, both online and offline. I have had the opportunity to address tens of thousands of individuals, including moderating high-level sessions with government officials on national and international platforms.

My engagement extends to continuous shows, such as a 53-day consecutive Instagram Live session and currently hosting a 54-week video podcast series on "Planet vs. Plastics." I have delivered talks in rural, and urban areas, as well as at universities and corporations. Additionally, I have comfortably conducted workshops with farmers, women, children, engineering students, musicians, and various other groups. Moreover, I have trained youth in several regions of my country. I also serve as an advisor to various youth initiatives and nonprofits, volunteering my time whenever possible.

Currently, I am hosting a 5-second show for delivering tips to become a true environmentalist known as 5 Seconds for Earth (5 Seconds of Environmentalism), available on Instagram and Pluc.tv.
